Content creator Celynukam has sparked reactions online after accusing her estranged fiancé and baby daddy of emotional abuse, threats and manipulation following the birth of their child.
Celynukam alleged that she no longer feels safe in Lagos due to threats from her former partner, claiming he threatened to break into her home and take their child out of the country if she failed to meet his demands.
“As a nursing mother, my life is currently not safe in Lagos. After getting a caesarean section and taking care of my newborn all alone, they would threaten to come break my door and take away my child to another country if I don’t do this or that,” she wrote.
She added that dealing with motherhood, emotional stress and caring for a newborn has been overwhelming.
“Taking care of a child and being depressed is a lot to handle. My only crime was loving a man and being an empath,” she said.
The content creator also claimed that she ended their wedding plans because she did not want to bear the financial responsibility alone.
“I literally had to go and apologize for calling off wedding rites because I didn’t want to sponsor my wedding,” she added.
Celynukam further denied claims that she was interested in her fiancé’s money, alleging that she financially supported him during their relationship.
“You said I was after your money and I ran you dry. Did you tell them how I paid your bills and paid for everything? You almost gaslighted me into paying your rent,” she stated.
She also alleged that her fiancé and his mother accused her of being possessed by a “marine spirit.”
The allegations have generated mixed reactions online, with some users expressing support for the new mother while others called for both sides of the story to be heard.
As of the time of filing this report, her estranged fiancé has not publicly responded to the allegations.
